    Questions

    Common questions.

Can an overseas Pakistani make a power of attorney fully online?

An eligible digital NADRA and MOFA route may allow online processing and verification, but availability and requirements vary by mission and matter. Do not assume that every country, document or receiving authority can be completed fully remotely.

Does a Pakistan Embassy stamp guarantee that the power of attorney will be accepted?

No. A mission may attest execution or signatures without validating the legal contents. The bank, court, land authority, registrar or other recipient may require specific wording, registration, verification or additional documents.

Can a power of attorney from abroad transfer Pakistani property?

It can authorize a defined person to act, subject to the law and authority requirements, but the power of attorney itself is not a universal title-transfer document. Registration, stamp, mutation and authority formalities may still be required.

What documents are usually needed for an overseas power of attorney?

Common requirements include the principal's identity document, the attorney's CNIC, NICOP or POC, witness identity documents, the signed original with required thumb impressions and photographs, contact details and the current mission or portal forms. The exact checklist must be confirmed for the country and receiving authority.
